Muffin tops and Bingo Wings- you promised!

May

Sports centre you have another addict- another one of our team has signed up for membership. So lucky you will be seeing more of us!

We are still all sweating along with all our classes. We have been promised the special secreats of how to get rid of bingo wings and muffin tops (which is really why we most of us are doing this!)-- we look forward to hearing them- i hope it includes eating lots of sweets!

Is this normal?

I know I have been rubbish at blogging last week but it has all got a little busy!

I have made the effort today as I feel like I am not celebrating our massive achievements. The weirdest thing is that exercise is now normality, so i have less to say. Before when anyone slipped away for lunch and came back looking hot and sweaty it would not be the norm, now we are all at it. Some of us have even gone to the next extreme and have had one to ones so that they can push themselves even further.

The squash war continues and i feel like this might be going on for years to come!

Aerobotone was amazing and a really good work out. The instructor was very enthusatics is the very very very hot hall!

It will be very sad day on Thursday for some people and the rest of us will even more sad when the classes end for the summer.

And now grab your big toe

I've been to Dynamic Yoga a couple of times and it is a great class. I would like to let you know that it is okay if (like me) you can't even touch your toes! You don't have to put off by the people that know that to do as soon as there hear the technical name of the move.

I am the most un bendy person possible- but i still enjoy the class and the intsructor always tells you how to make it suitable for you. The trick is just don't look at anyone else cos you will just be embassed that you aren't folded in half.

You come away feeling very relaxed and energised at the same- not sure if that is possible. I can also feel the benefits- i can now touch my ankles- which is a big step for me. Watch out toes i will get you!

Other people in the office have been sweating it out in Spinning- apparently it was a very hot experience!

The merits of Aerobotone have been spouted about the office again- okay I believe you and i'll be there next week!

On guard!!

Hello

A couple of the girls returned raving about the fencing class they had just had. It shows how this sport appeals to everyone- as they both do sport but very different versions and classes, but they both really enjoyed this class. In fact they could be seen lunging around the office all afternoon. They were both suprised about how much of a work out it was- as they came back very sweaty. One of the things they did comment on was the Madonna style boob protection- attractive!

More Life fitness for me- love it and can always feel it in the afternoon too. Although Graham has not recovered from his circuits this week- in fact today is the first day that he has been walking normally.

Some of the girls haven't been able to make it to a class for the last couple of days and they tell me that that feel rubbish for it- i think HR is offically addicted!!!

We are also now discussing diets too- apartently this is the new one to try- I am not sure- what do you think? It is called Venice A. Fulton, Six Weeks To OMG- it involves no breaky, coffee, cold baths and huge meals?!

The Email and Wiggling Octopuss

May

I have returned from a long weekend away to be given a 2 page email from my colleagues about all the fitness things they have been up to over the last four days! I can feel their proudness leaking all over the office!

Dan has been playing football where he scored a solo effort early goal but then let in 3 as goalkeeper- I think that he shows where his skills are! He also has been playing badminton on Friday with other members of our team. Apparently sport was the winner I think this might be code for he lost! Dan was also inspired to go for lovely walks on Sunday- apparently walking to Portsalde is not every picturesque!

Helen has been cycling to work in the rain- poor Helen!! On Saturday she did a 12 mile walk!!!! And tonight she is off to Yoga which is all about lying down!

Jo- is a different women and has enjoyed the exercise so much she is all signed up for an annual membership! She has been sweating it out to Aerobatone- which she is now raving about. And she has been out on her new bike! Oh and she has been ordering fitness DVDs on her love film! She can't get enough of it!!!!

A few of us have been doing Zumba today and very happy to be back in the swing of things- although whilst out this weekend one of the Zumba songs came on in a bar- it was a real effort to stop myself doing the dance! We love Cara's new dances too- the new shaking Octopuss move makes me laugh!

The question is- is it worth getting a Zumba DVD for home and if so which one? Has anyone tried these?

Evil Frisbee!

Work outs came in all forms today.

Some for Life Circuits which was great but very hard work today. Running on the spots with your feet in frisbees and your hands on the floor sounds comical but was the hardest thing ever!!!

Some are still recovering from last nights power hooping this sounds an amazing class and we would love to get it here too! Hint Hint!!
One of our team has such a high work load at the mo that she has not been able to join in so we have decided to extend the fitness month to include June so that she can join in!

Bring it on June- are can take you on too!

Sweat Central!!

Today Sally managed to talk Graham into Spinning. He does cycle to and from work everyday so I think he had a bit of an advantage!

They both came back very sweaty- and announced that it was the hardest classs they had ever done!! They said the instructor kept comign around to check they were at the right RPM so there was no hiding!

More Zumba today- which went down very well. One of the girls came back so inspired that she has booked on to try more classes. Once you get into the fitness it is so addictive.

I have not done any classes today and feel like I've missed out- extra long walk for the dog tonight!

Sweet sporting Revenge

Revenge is best served cold- CB cold!!

I feel like the blog is having defiantly having an effect on everyone's behaviour. Claire's face after she saw that the blog mentioned her defeat was something to behold- we all knew that the next time the squash match was on it- it would be pay back. After her and Dan's match today she was all smiles, although I feel that there was probably an evil cackle on the court!!!

We also need to mention Leila- she came on to campus over the weekend to go to Zumba! That is dedication!!! We salute you!

Today has been lots of walking to work, life circuits and Zumba.

Zumba is such a great class- as you spend most of your time laughing at yourself. The instructor is always smiling too- but i think that is cos she is laughing at your moves.

You can tell things have changed in our office- there is cake on the side today and usually by this time in the afternoon it would be long gone. I can still see a couple of slices left I think we are getting more healthy!!

Squat Thrust- Bad-Raving-Ton?

Day 4-

Today is the day of Badminton!

Most of us managed to squeeze a game in today. The others have been working really hard at yoga and other activities.

Game 1- We would like to take this opportunity to apologies to any one that was in a spinning class at lunch. The screams and shrieks was not anyone in pain but a few of the ladies playing badminton. You could tell the people that had had the most stressful morning as they had a lot more power behind their shots (no names mentioned!!!!).
We loved the fact that there was music on as we could have a dance at the same time as playing- we are thinking of a whole new sport-' Bad-Raving-Ton'.!

Game 2- This was with the other half of the team. It was intense! Dave the machine did beat them but it was a very good game. The most notable point of the game was the temperature in the hall- the team worked so hard they feel they raised the temperature  by at least 200c!

Quote of the day- 'Remember sport is the real winner!' Cringe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Squat Thrust Update

From Day 2

MASSIVE apologies! I have missed out an important fact from yesterday! Dan trounced Claire at Squash- it was very close but the overall score was 4-2. Dan is currently basking in his glory, (it's rare win!).
